Shawn Hunter came to Equity Source Mortgage, Inc. from the Recoveries Industry in 2002. He picked up on the business rather quickly bringing a young, fast-paced high touch style to the business. His most notable strengths are client communication, pricing strategy and product knowledge. He is an expert in credit restoration and counseling as it relates to the loan underwriting process and getting first time home buyers into homes.
Hunter has posted high production numbers at Equity Source Mortgage over his tenure, with the bulk of his business being returning clients and referral business. His past clients appreciate his vast knowledge and share that with others.
Shawn has been a Minnesotan his entire life growing up in the Circle Pines area of the Twin Cities. He has a daughter and lives in Coon Rapids.
Shawn's hobbies include softball, Fantasy Football and spending time with friends and family.
Roy Sperr founded Equity Source Mortgage in 2000 after four years as a residential loan originator. Prior to the mortgage business, he was a Reservist in the National Guard and he worked three years as a Minnesota real estate appraiser. Roy received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics from Saint Cloud State University in 1993 and a Mini MBA in Real Estate from the University of St. Thomas in 2005.
Most of his professional mortgage career has been spent with direct origination activities geared toward customer experience. This includes counseling the home buyer, refinance math and advising potential clients on the correct way to achieve their financial goals as it relates to home finance.
His business strengths in mortgage include: All aspects of the home purchase process, making sense of the re-finance decision, investment properties and the loan underwriting process. Virtually all business is derived from referrals and repeat customers.
Roy is and has been active in various organizations including Lions International, Business Advisory Forum and various church committees as well as annual charity and fund raising events.
Roy enjoys nothing greater than spending time with family (wife and two daughters).
Outside of professional interests Roy enjoys being outdoors: fishing, travel, as well as reading and an occasional attempt at golf.
Jason Walters has been in the mortgage industry since the early 2000's. Since joining the Equity Source Mortgage team, he has shown his high level of organizational skills, excellent customer service, and attention to detail. Jason is dedicated to his customers’ needs, wants, and dreams; he has a passion for tackling any scenario to make his clients’ dreams a reality. He prides himself in always being available to answer questions, educate and explain the process, and make your financing as smooth as possible.
Jason is a lifelong Minnesotan. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast, loves hunting and fishing, and enjoys spending time with his family.
